The NCFE Level 3 Award in Assessing Candidates using a Range of Methods has been accredited by the qualifications regulators for England, Wales and Northern Ireland* and is part of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). Its Qualification Accreditation Number is 500/5992/0.

Achieving this award
The NCFE Level 3 Award in Assessing Candidates using a Range of Methods is made up of one mandatory unit:
- Unit 01 Assess candidates using a range of methods
- To achieve the Award, candidates must successfully complete the mandatory unit.
- To successfully complete the unit, each candidate has to provide evidence satisfying all the ‘statements of competence’ or performance and knowledge requirements in the unit.
The standards for the mandatory unit are provided in Section 2 of this document.

Who is it for?
This Award is suitable for those who assess NVQ candidates using a range of methods. This includes those whose role involves:
- Assessing candidates against agreed standards of competence using a range of assessment methods
- Giving candidates feedback on assessment decisions
- Contributing to the internal quality assurance processes
This Award is work-oriented and therefore is suitable for those who have real work experience.
Entry guidance
There aren’t any specific recommended prior learning requirements for this Award.
Entry is at the discretion of the centre, but learners should be at least 18 years old.
